Your ability to deliver professional economic analysis, wider policy advice and thought leadership means you’ll have substantial influence on the development of regional economic strategy and on the work of the Minister for the West Midlands region. Influencing activity across the region, you’ll interpret changes in economic conditions and play a crucial part in ensuring that policy and strategy development is evidence based.

We are looking for a postgraduate qualification in Economics or closely related subject, as well as experience of applying economic and policy analysis to real world situations. You’ll also be comfortable contributing to the development of economic strategies and providing thought leadership and advice to senior management and politicians. Excellent all-round communication skills are therefore essential and you’ll also have a good understanding of the context in which we work.
