Connecting to Success, the new West Midlands Economic Strategy, was launched on 10th December 2007. It sets out the region’s approach to closing the £10 billion output gap, by seeking to raise output per head in the West Midlands to at least the average for the UK as a whole.
At the same time that Connecting to Success was launched, consultation began on the draft Delivery Framework for the Strategy. The Delivery Framework provides greater detail on how the Strategy will be delivered. It is a rolling three-year framework, with implementation commencing from April 2008, to be updated on an annual basis.
This consultation is an opportunity to contribute views on how the Strategy should be delivered. Connecting to Success sets out what we need to do and why we need to do it. The Delivery Framework deals with how the Strategy will be delivered, and what role regional and local organisations and partnerships can play in that delivery.
Please read the ‘Guide to responding to the consultation’ and respond on the ‘Consultation response form’ found under related documents.
Consultation on the draft Delivery Framework closed on the 22nd February 2008.
