Advantage West Midlands is working in partnership with Herefordshire Council to promote and redevelop an area of 40 hectares (100 acres) immediately north of the historic city centre of Hereford.

This new civic, residential, commercial and leisure development will regenerate Hereford and help deliver a diversified and robust economy.

The redevelopment is being led by ESG Herefordshire Ltd, the joint venture set up between the Council and Advantage West Midlands.

Status: ESG have recently appointed Stan Hope as the third Development Partner for the new retail quarter. The scheme will incorporate up to 400,000 sq. ft of retail accommodation together with 100-150 residential units. In addition to developers that have been shortlisted for the Urban Village, with a final decision due mid 2008. The Urban Village development will ultimately accommodate between 1,000 and 1,100 new residential units plus and element of mixed use commercial and civil.
