Phase 3 - Consultation on policy choices

The third phase of the WMES review - the consultation on policy choices -invited your feedback on the identified issues, challenges and priorities facing the region. The consultation opened on 10 November 2006 and closed on 28 February 2007.

The consultation took various forms: a series of events took place throughout the region during January and February which more than 600 people attended in total; Advantage West Midlands' staff attended more than 50 meetings of partners and stakeholders to present and discuss the policy choices; and an online consultation was available through this website which received 95 responses and a further 96 by email or post directly to Advantage West Midlands.

Feedback from the consultation on policy choices will be analysed to inform the revised draft of the West Midlands Economic Strategy and summarised for publication on this website. Regeneris consultants will continue to work with Advantage West Midlands to help analyse the responses and develop the draft strategy.

The draft strategy will be published in May, taking us into Phase 4 of the WMES Review - the consultation on the draft strategy.
