How do i apply

The management organisation for delivering the ERDF programme will be aligned to Advantage West Midlands’ current structure for managing its Single Pot budget (governed by the Single Programme Appraisal Guidance). This is in order to (i) deliver management efficiencies, and equally importantly to, (ii) reduce costs and lead time for applicants.

Project applications seeking both ERDF and match funding from Advantage West Midlands’ Single Pot budget will be developed in accordance with existing processes via the three “delivery vehicles” - Regeneration Zones, High Technology Corridors, and Business Clusters. For information on this approach go to the Developing your project section. On this section a full list of approved projects is also available.

Applications for ERDF that are not seeking match funding from AWM will not be adversely affected by this alignment and potential applications of this nature should be discussed with the relevant ERDF Priority Manager in the first instance.

Investment Frameworks have been developed for each of the Priority Axes of the 2007-13 ERDF Programme. These Frameworks break each Priority Axis into relevant portfolios of activity and for each portfolio identify the agreed delivery solution i.e.:

  • The most suitable route for project development;

  • The most suitable approach for implementation;

  • The preferred sources of match funding/co-financing; and

  • The timing and sequence of interventions.

The Investment Frameworks have been agreed in partnership via the Priority Working Groups and identify particular activities where the most suitable route for project development is to commission or launch a call for applications. Where this is the case, calls for applications will be posted on the website.

To view the Investment Frameworks go to the Programme Content section.

Additional information which may be useful when you decide to apply for ERDF funding is available under the sub-sections in the left hand menu.
