Priority 5 – Technical Assistance

This priority will provide a resource which will support and contribute towards delivering the overall regional strategy by assisting the necessary activities associated with Programme management. This includes Programme preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and publicity. The aim is to:

• Ensure smooth management and administration of the Programme;
• Support monitoring and evaluation;
• Engage regional partners including the voluntary sector.
• Ensure that the Programme’s achievements are communicated clearly; and effectively to all relevant agencies and the wider public.

Supported by £8m, Technical Assistance may be accessed by national, regional and local authorities, bodies or individuals, including economic and social partners, who are preparing or involved in the implementation of the Programme.
