Action Plans

The RPDE programme is firmly grounded in national and regional priorities and aims to deliver them by working with rural businesses.  In order to focus clearly on the region’s agreed priorities Advantage West Midlands have developed and approved four Action Plans, covering an initial £25 million of funds, addressing four specific sectors:

• Food and drink
o Skills, training and knowledge transfer
o Supply chain development
o Competitiveness
o Trade and consumer awareness

• Tourism
o Sustainable tourism
o Environmental improvements
o Food tourism
o e-tourism

• Environmental technologies
o Environmentals goods and services
o Support innovation
o New markets
o Networking
o Training and skills
o Sites and premises

• Support for the livestock industry
o Knowledge transfer
o Efficient production
o Improve livestock quality
o Promote best practice
o Promote understanding of Environmental Legislation

We are currently working with a number of organisations to bring forward packages of advice, information, demonstration and marketing assistance in support of these Action Plans.
